November 21, 2005 – Dekart (www.dekart.com) has released version 2.06 of Dekart Private Disk, a strong and popular data protection program. Private Disk easily protects your confidential documents by creating virtual encrypted partitions (drive letters).

In addition to creating and protecting data on its own encrypted partition, users can now create a whitelist of program names, and restrict access to only these programs. With this new feature, employees can access sensitive data as part of their job, but they can't run copy programs, or other third-party software, to capture the information and make copies.

All of Dekart Private Disks information is transparently encrypted with AES 256-bit – the strongest encryption algorithm available today. Private Disk has received the highest possible rating at Cnet (5).
