New Dekart Logon for Citrix ICA Client to Ease Administrators' Tasks in Multi-User Environments

February, 11 - Dekart (www.dekart.com) announces the release of Dekart Logon for Citrix ICA Client version 2.01, a flexible and reliable access control software solution for two and three-factor authentication to Citrix servers. Dekart Logon for Citrix ICA Client offers a fast, secure and convenient login to Citrix servers by storing the passwords and multiple connections on smart cards, USB tokens, USB drives or other removable media. Dekart Logon for Citrix ICA Client easily protects access to Citrix servers to keep private and confidential information secure.

The new version of Dekart Logon for Citrix ICA Client provides even more convenient and cost-effective way to eliminate the risks of weak passwords for access to the Citrix applications and to simplify the password management. Now the software can be installed in both Administrator and User modes, which eases software deployment in multi-user distributed environments. If installed in User mode, the software restricts users from performing unsolicited actions with hardware keys, thus reducing the costs on system maintenance.

The use of the token or smart card guarantees a highest possible security. The product is easy to install and manage. When the token or smart card is removed, the user is automatically disconnected from Citrix server. One USB token or smart card may be used to store user credentials required to access different applications, eliminating the need for multiple devices. User credentials can be securely stored not only on smart cards or USB tokens, but also on USB drives or other removable media (FDD, CD, CD/R, CD/RW, MO, MD, ZIP-disks, Pocket PCs, all types of flash memory cards) preserving the same functionality.

Multi-factor authentication, which is an important for protecting enterprise information, complements the strong security already offered by Citrix MetaFrame Presentation Server. Dekart Logon for Citrix ICA Client helps ensure that only authorized users who are positively authenticated gain access.

The software supports Alladin, G&D, Eutron, Rainbow, ruToken, Datakey, GemPlus, Schlumberger smart cards and tokens, as well as the ACOS-1 card, SMARTCOS smart card and any USB flash drives. It is also compatible with most types of BioAPI and HA API compatible biometric verification devices, including ACS AET60 biometric readers, BioLink U-Match MatchBook/U-Match Mouse, Precise Biometrics Precise 100 fingerprint readers etc.
