Dekart Private Disk allows creating backup copy of the encryption key of the virtual encrypted disk. The backup copy allows restoring the disk in the cases of password loss or if the file-image has been accidentally corrupted during the operating system failure.
The backup copy is stored in encrypted form. To encrypt the backup copy a special password of alternative access, independent from disk access password, is used. This password is used for data recovery.
To create backup copy, do the following:

Note. The Dekart Private Disk backup copy alternative access password can consist of alphanumeric symbols, and it is case-sensitive. Enter the password carefully.
Note. You can enable automatic disk encryption key backup.
