What is RSS?

RSS is an acronym for Really Simple Syndication. It represents an XML-based format for sharing and distributing Web content such as news headlines and announcements. If putting it simple, RSS is a new way for authors who publish content online (like us) to notify people interested in that content (and that could be you) whenever fresh material is made available. We use RSS to deliver articles and article previews to readers who are simply too busy to browse our site and dig up the content they are interested in. We also use RSS to alert customers of new products or upcoming events on our site.

Why should you consider signing up with RSS?

RSS brings a number of nice benefits. For instance, since you don't have to provide your email address while subscribing you:

  • Don't get your inbox flooded
  • Protect yourself from being added to spam-mailing lists
  • Can unsubscribe at any time – and be sure you actually _get_ unsubscribed.

To make it short- it finally puts you in control of your own subscriptions.

Get yourself an RSS Reader

To read the RSS feeds you need a special reader, or if called otherwise an RSS aggregator. There are hundreds of them available right now on the web, for every taste and platform. Here are some links to a few simple free or free-to-try RSS Readers:
